What's with the face, man?

This post was inspired by the "scribbles" of fellow inward-looker and blogging buddy M.

P.S.: I was tagged with a strange meme, curtesy of both Doc and Baba Ganoush. I am to pick up a book that is close by, tell what it is, turn to page 123, skip to the fifth sentence, and type the next three sentences. Then I'm supposed to tag, but I don't tag, I'll just offer it up. Strangely enough, the quote almost fits with this post. Here it is:

Awakening The Buddha Within by Lama Surya Das...
"We don't want to reinforce any form of mood addiction or mental fixation. When you experience your own doubts- and almost everyone has doubts- you will wonder what to do and where you go with your questioning. In my own spiritual practice, I have several times struggled with doubts and about what I was doing, and I would like to share some of my experiences."

Nice one! I'm introspective too, but all my mind's eye sees is Spiderman comics and Wii.

I wish I was more spiritual . . .

I am doubting everything. I need to get that book.

Your Christmas card is in the postal system making it's way to you.

le nightowl: Mmmm, sometimes life needs some spice.

m: Not to say my comic drawings hold a candle to yours, but I'm glad the message came through ;)

jlee: Sorry, I can't be Simpson's references and movie quotes all the time. I put it in the form of a cartoon to even it out though.

elle j: Oops, I'll see you later on.

evil spock: Now, now, I've heard the Wii is a spiritual experience.

wendy: It is a good book; I'm looking forward to the card.

doc: Then come down stairs and get it. Wait, the library just called me. On second thought, you can't borrow it, your book credit is too bad.

iheart: Wo, wo, my deep and long days are over. I was young and I needed the money.

cmeddie: You're not kidding, we all know you're a fan of the filth.

celeste: Oh, you had way more than six things to list, eh? I understand. Just know that I wouldn't have thought less of ya.

In this instance I was actually tagged by two people at the same time for the same meme. Aparently inquiring minds really wanted to know.

I got this tag once before, and it's interesting, because whent they read that one part from page 123--and those lines, it seems to give a very positive message. Ironic.

As far as the cartoon, it reminds me of what other religious finatics have to say about my beliefs- saying that I have a "kumbaya God"... hehe!

Hope you're doing well!

Landlord, these are awesome.

I hope you have more planned.

Did you read the Surya Das book? I always found him a bit dry.

squid: I don't know, that might be interesting.

dan: Glad you enjoyed, maybe more will follow later. Surya Das is a bit dry, but his message is good.

I liked this post...I didn't find it TOO deep at all....honesty at it's best is deep....reality deeper....sharing it however is the best way to connect and release all at the same time.

Baba tagged me on this one as well. God love him!
